Why I Have Buddha in My Home
Posted by Dr. Cason on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
I’m thinking I should take more risks. That I should step outside the box and just go with things that speak to my soul. I always envied the woman that was going to wear a purple hat when she got old. Why? I could wear a purple hat if I wanted to . But something - something tiny holds me back a little. Well, I’m breaking free. This year I decide to stop worrying and decided to decorate my home with things that inspired me. I took that risk and it has made all the difference.
Here are two of my favorite paintings in my home. It was a total departure from my usual subdued if not bland and safe decorating style.
I smile and take a deep breath every time I walk by them. After it is my home and if you can’t decorate your home the way you like then what’s the fun of growing up and getting your own place!

I agree. I love photos of people, am addicted to them, in fact and my walls are lined with them. I love bright colours and patterns and I have gone to town in the kids’ rooms. My home has to be somewhere that I love and feel comfortable in.
PS I love your blog, it is a very relaxing place to be.

I couldn’t agree more with your post - give your house your own style. I love the pictures you showed.
I’ll be back to see what’s happening!
Thanks again for stopping by even though things are a little slow around my blog - this is a very busy time of year for us so posting had taken a backseat.
Have a great night.

Like you, I like to surround myself with things that “make my heart sing”. Slowly I’m decluttering and ridding our home of stuff that doesn’t “move” me. It’s an exciting process and I’m finding “less is more”.
