Little Bits of Nothing
Posted by Dr. Cason on Sunday, June 8th, 2008
Guinevere wrote about “nothing” the other day and I was delighted. It was a running stream of consciousness that illustrated what fills our thoughts on a moment to moment basis. It shows how one thought segues into another and another until we can’t remember what that original thought was. This often happens when I try to meditate. Or for that matter when I’m sitting watching Hannah Montana. Which is right now. Here goes.
1. I wonder if I should continue Video Blogging (Vlogging) maybe more like Muthamae.com I really like her. But I don’t know if I could stand to look at myself. Maybe I’d be comfortable. Maybe not.
2. Should I continue Twitter? Seems a big waste of time but then again Google analytics says I get a lot referrals. Hmmm….Don’t really understand all the twitter sites! ????
3. Tired of this what’s going on feeling. Cried at work yesterday. Wonder if there’s a hospital admission in the future for us. Nice they had Sponge Bob on the walls. As bad as the hospital is it gives me time to slow down and…look at my nails- boy I need to get the nail polish off, put some lotion on my skin- it sure is dry and plan some meals- just what am I going to cook?
4. My girls have graduated from The Backyardigans to Hannah Montana. When did that happen? Oh yeah. When Gabby started Kindergarten. The influence has already begun. Shoot. I do like her though and find myself sitting and snuggling with them to see the new episode. I liked the episode with Brooke Shields.
5. There is a belt on the couch. And some cereal, a walkie talkie and 6 elmo books.
6.I saw 6 geckos last night outside the door.
7.Spiders migrate indoors every day. They like the front bathroom. I wonder why?
8. Jake, my two year old, is scared of spiders and the vacuum cleaner. He calls it a vacuteenie.
9. Despite the previous example his articulation is getting better. Wa-Wa has just changed to waaaater.
10. I’m proud and sad at the same time.

I really am not fond of the Hannah Montana theme song. I don’t mind the show, but that song just drives me up the wall. My 10 year old has been very into that show all year. I truly miss Little Bear and Winnie the Pooh. Have you seen any snakes on Guam? I think that would be the worst for me. (Shudder!)

Snakes?
Yes I’ve seen them but not as frequently as I thought I would. I was warned they would come in my home and nibble my baby’s fingers.
I can now safely say that was an exaggeration!
Spiders like that it’s cooler in your bathroom maybe?

I’m glad I was an inspiration to you!
I think I also have 6 Elmo books on my couch.
I don’t have spiders in my bathroom, but I *do* have ants. ???

Awww, thanks for the shout out!
You asked on my blog what camera I use, etc. I use the family’s video camera and then import the file onto the computer and use iMovie to do any editing. Then I upload to YouTube and link to the site.
As far as Twitter goes, I am kind of love/hate with Twitter. On one hand, it’s brought a lot of great people into my life I never would have met otherwise (like you!) On the other hand, there’s a lot of people on there who talk and talk and talk and talk all day long and it can take quite some time to read through all the conversations. I just don’t have that kind of time.
Adding you to my google reader. See, Twitter helped me discover a cool new blog. So yeah, I say keep up with it until you get so annoyed you HAVE to walk away!!
Mutha Maes last blog post..Here comes trouble2
Everyone loves Mutha Mae. She is also the reason I have decided to try vlogging. lol. Try it, I say, I doubt I will do a second one.
I don’t get the whole twitter thing either.
My son has an articulation disorder too. (does yours have a disorder or is he just learning how to talk? I’ll have to go back and read your past posts) He’s in speech therapy.
