A Father’s Day Adventure
Posted by Dr. Cason on Sunday, June 15th, 2008
My husband popped up suddenly after dinner and started making this tent. The kids were thrilled and I- a little perplexed. He explained, “Some of the greatest memories from childhood were spent under a makeshift tent in the living room.”
They sat there for hours snuggled in watching a movie. Every once in a while rustling bodies and a “Hey she kicked me!” emitted form the campsite. The next morning there were some near casualties as they learned the hard way that they can’t jump on top of the tent-no matter how sturdy it looks.
I just put away all the remains of their adventure. We’ve packed up the gear, put out the fire, loaded up the car and headed home. Soon we’ll be back again in the Cason living room exchanging ghost stories and watching old movies. Until then we’ll just have to dream.

What a neat “adventure”. It will undoubtedly be a great memory for the family.
