Off to Hawaii

Breester's sad

Everyone is a little sad. Our routine is about to be disrupted.

As you may remember Jake has some allergy/asthma problems.

So in search of answers Jake and I will be heading out in the wee hours of the morning to Hawaii. As luck would have it – just as we were  granted the medivac from Guam to Hawaii- he has been doing well. ( Go. Hurry. Right now and knock wood!)

This is after multiple ER visits, a few hospitalizations, an extraordinary amount of medication and some dietary restrictions.

It’s late now and I have to be up soon. I should have had everything organized earlier today but I spent the morning looking at rainbows with Jake, the afternoon cuddling with Gabby on the couch and the evening reassuring Bree.

It’s going to be a week of change for everyone. Please come along and see what’s going on. Barring any problems I should be able to post so you all can tune in for the details as we spend the week in Hawaii.

Oh and BTW- I won’t see your comments while on the plane- so puhleeeeze  talk amongst yourselves.

And wish me luck. Oh and good luck to John- He’s Mr. Mom for a few days.

Good luck. I hope it brings answers! There isn’t much more stressful to mom than just not knowing, I bet it is even harder when mom happens to be a doctor, too.

Queen Mommy-Thanks! I’m off… I’ll get the bags if you go wake up Jakey.

Kyla- It’ll be nice to talk to the specialists. I’ll check a little of my education and ego at the door.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Jake. As a parent, this is always difficult seeing this with the ones you love so much. And I can tell you do love them all so much – you’re a wonderful mother.

    Jake, hang in there buddy.

    Hi Dr. Cason,

    I love the photo.

Best of luck on your search for answers. It’s never easy having a child that’s ill, not having a definitive solution. I pray Hawaii is the answer to your prayers.

    Good luck!! To everyone!

I’ll be thinking about you and hoping that everyone does OK.

And isn’t one of Murphy’s Laws that when the doctor’s appointment arrives, the problem has cleared up? I know that’s how it goes around here.
