Oh Wow What a Great Day!

Posted by on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Not today- today we took my little guy back to the lab and had another 20cc drawn out in an attempt to narrow down just what is going on! No camera on this little mission. I didn’t need to memorialize his tears. We’ll meet with the specialists tomorrow for the results of his biopsy- Is it eosinophilic esophagitis or just reflux. Cross your fingers everyone for reflux, the preferred diagnosis. We’ll also find out what’s happening with his immunoglobulins- please Lord- let them be normal.

Yesterday was the great day! Yesterday we spent most of the day at the Hilton down on Waikiki and with all the little details along the way we were kept quite busy!

Sacred Ibis

This is a Sacred Ibis. I like to think this guy sprinkled lots of goodness everywhere as he kept crossing our path. The ancient Egyptians worshiped the Ibis as the reincarnation of the god of magic and wisdom! :)

Little Details

The buildings were so beautiful that I stood taking pictures of even the most seemingly insignificant details, only they weren’t so insignificant to me.

Little Details Even Bigger

Here I blew it up to give you a better look.

Surfing Around

I’m not a surfer. Yes I tried once and managed to get to my knees but then promptly fell down. I can however appreciate the sleek lines. Can’t you?

Oh Yes Please

And last but not least, this is my first real Starbucks coffee in over a year. I chose a Cafe Mocha and when she asked if I wanted whipped cream- which I usually don’t indulge in- I said, “Oh yes please!” It was delicious. I had to call John in Guam and gloat.

Trying to make the best of a stressful situation.

Blessings everyone.

    Hi Dr. Cason,

My prayers remain with you and Jakey.

The pictures are fabulous. The details on the picture you blew up are awesome.

I’m so happy you got yourself a Starbucks (after a year). The Cafe Mocha is a favorite of mine, as is the Frappachino.

We’re sending good luck vibes that you hear Reflux as the diagnosis tomorrow!

While I don’t care for Starbucks overall, I do love their Cafe Mocha’s and Frapacinno’s. I have those when I want a treat! Screw the calories!

Best wishes to you & yours. Fingers & toes crossed for you!

Barbara- I went back today. :) Hee Hee!

Beth- WooHoo! Now that we’re done with some a few are still pending. Keep your fingers crossed.

Guin- Thank you! You’re so sweet! Guam doesn’t have a Starbucks! I can’t imagine why though. It has a Kmart, KFC and McDonalds! I mean come on!!

Davina- He was so calm too walking around like amidst all the people.

Ann- It went well. Treated myself to another one today as well. And plan for another tomorrow!

Tiff- Thanks. Keep them crossed some more!

Audubon- The feather’s were pretty though! Really white.

Housekatz- Oh I heard about that place! I was think that or the zoo and since no one has recommended the zoo maybe I’ll reconsider the options!

    Donna- Thank you. :)

Lisa- Yeah! Reflux!!! And regarding the Starbucks- I need to make some on my own at home! I wouldn’t know where to start though!

Linda- Uh Oh! Do they have a lot of calories?
