At the ER

Posted by on Monday, August 4th, 2008

This young boy is going to give me a heart attack. Laceration.

They are at the ER. I’m in clinic and can’t go over fast enough. Only two more patients and then I’ll be right there.

Ack. I was in the ER for the same thing with BubTar last week. I hope it isn’t too bad! (our kids seem to be working from the same play book lately, eh?)

Sheesh! I hope that it is not too bad! Little kids can be really tough on their bodies as they try and test the limits of what they can do.

White Hot- Nothing 7 stitches won’t heal! :)

I’m not a doctor but with five children I should’ve been one since I made my trips to ER more than enough. Still, no matter how many times you go through this kind of stuff, when one of your babies is hurt, it feels like it’s the first time.

We’ only done stitches once (KNOCK WOOD!!!!) but we were at the ER two years ago for rabies shots. Bleh.

7 stictches! That’s a bit of a whopper, but I’m sure you’re POV is a bit different seeing this kind of stuff at work. Thank goodness 7 stitches fixes many things. Poor kiddo. And yes, I would have been beside myself if I couldn’t have been there with him.

I’m sure glad Jakey is okay. Boys get a kick out of stitches and scars – their battle scars to show the women when they are older!

My son Tommy has a small scar right through one of his eyebrows where they had to shave it for stitches when he was little. His wife wanted to fill it in with an eyebrow pencil for their wedding, and he said NO WAY. That was his battle scar, and it stayed as is. He was so brave, did not cry a bit when they cleaned it and put the stitches in. Needless to say, Mom took him on a shopping trip afterwards for a nice new toy.

His was from a rough time on the daycare playground.
