OHHH!

Luckily my kids haven't had to have stitches, yet.. watch today be the day. I did have to help hold my son down to get an IV in him and quite frankly it sucked big time.

Sheila - I was reading your nice info about the desire to help with humanitarian missions. I thought you might want to add this website to your blog. By clicking on these tabs at the top each day, these organizations will donate to such great causes as Hunger, Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rainforest and Animal Rescue.

I have this marked in my favorites as "Click on this Site Each Day" to remind me to do this. I do not receive a bunch of junk mail either from this, I promise. It costs nothing, but helps so many. Thanks.

Hey Sheila and Moonbeam - Now that you mention it, don't you think that stitching on his forehead looks a bit like a spiderman's spiderweb. Maybe you need to get him some spiderman band aids for his spiderweb Sheila!

Hi Dr. Cason,

Poor little Jakey! He sure has been through a lot lately, hasn't he? It looks like he took it like a good little trooper. Hopefully the scar will fade.

Kathleen- Well I'm glad God is there because I'm thinking I need a little help!

Lisa- I'm a cry baby too. I get big fat tears in my eyes and then my husband looks at me and says, 'Could you be a little strong please?" :)

Kyla- Yes they used EMLA. So I was told. :(

Moon- I waiting for him to forget but not yet. Last night he even said, "Get off my bed Mommy. Go away. Don't kiss my owie" Broke my heart but I was hovering a lot and trying to put more Neosporin on it. I think he'd had enough!

Audubon- Nothing much fazes me with my patients. But my kids? I feel faint too!

Awesome- Oh I pray they will stay safe! Boys have the worst accident rates! They are just so impulsive and brave!

Erin- He loved the Popsicle and I'm glad something calmed him down!

Chris- I can only hope and dream.

Sarah- Oh! He was wearing his new Spiderman shoes and after running along speedily, tripped and fell into the Lego table. All my fault really.

Alesia- Jane Siberry- I'll have to check her out!

tiff- I would have probably fixed it but now that you left the cute messages fixing it yourself I can't touch it. I love the pffft. I'm always trying to figure out ways to spell sound effects!

Sara- Years to come we'll sit and watch Harry Potter and I'll tell what everyone said.

Housecat- No an ER doc did but they offered for him to do it. "WHAT!!!" I yelled, "Are you crazy?" I would only sew up my own kid if we were in the woods or had no- one experienced to do it! I can just imagine him yelling at us years later for the botched job! (or imagined botched job. You know kids- they are so dramatic!)

You're lucky you missed it! It's terrible to hear them cry for you and there's nothing you can do about it because they NEED those stitches! Did your husband give him the stitches?

Wow- that is a whopper. Glad to see he is in good spirits. I could just imagine what he was like right after it happened.

I was thinking Harry Potter scar too, and, how did it happen?
