A Doctor’s Life
Posted by Dr. Cason on Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
There it is.
It’s out there. Not as glamorous or as compelling as it once sounded but there all the same.
It is what it is. (That’s my new phrase from my Bali trip. You’ll see it more often I’m sure.)
My post The Ugly Side of Being a Doctor was written as a quick response to a blogger’s comment. It gained a lot of attention and now has been viewed over 6,000 times in the past three weeks. It’s labeled as one of the top Doctors site on Stumble Upon. That’s enormous for me- I’ve been live now 4 months.
I usually write and post photos. But to tell what I really think? Now that’s a different matter.
As I sit here with an empty bowl of Spaghetti and a beer, I’m starting my story of becoming and surviving a doctors’ life . Why now?
I don’t know. I’m not really thinking of that so much as wouldn’t it be nice to have some Fritos with this beer. I don’t usually drink much but maybe this will loosen me up.
My words are pressured and the memories are coming so fast and furious that I can’t even think this fast much less write. Is there such a thing as “pressured writing” as in “pressured speech”. Am I manic right now? Maybe I need to take another sip and just start.

And I have no doubt it will be good.

Dr. Casonon 10 Sep 2008 at 5:42 am 5Trish- Cathartic yes- which is probably why I’ll write it.
Lance- Thank You.
Kyla- Well I don’t know about great- but it’ll be something!
Amy- Well I hope to not make it gruesome just a personal account.

I can’t wait for your stories.

So actually I was lurking on Mommy MD and many other sites trying to figure this sleep thing out. I read both parts to the sleep post and actually followed it tonight! I’m actually sitting listening to the monitor right now! Despite the fact that I’m about to throw up from the nerves this seem to be going alright so far!
Like a true blogger I took lots of pictures and will do a post about it later tonight!
Thanks for the help!! You could turn into my new best friend!
