Yum! That looks so good. I might have to steal that idea for our next birthday around here. With 6 people, 7 including grandma, cake gets old sometimes. ;-) But I love it anyway.

@Nikki - Have you ever tried hemp milk? I don't like soy much either but we have dairy allergies at our house so I've tried nearly every kind of milk alternative there is and hemp milk is really yummy. It's kinda creamy and a little nutty flavored. The *best* brand out there is one called Living Harvest, produced in Canada (as most are) and comes in 3 flavors - plain, vanilla and chocolate. I use the vanilla for everything.

Now that's a cake! Life is always good when you can look at the person you promised to spend your entire life with and still be able to feel the same feeling you had the very first time you held hands.

SHEILA - Krystal's hamburgers must be a Southern chain then. I never realized they were not everywhere. They have been around ever since I was a small child, and at 56 years that was a while ago.

They are famous for these small burgers with little buns (more like those soft dinner rolls) and come with lots of minced cooked onions, a thin beef patty, mustard and a pickle on them. They are delicious but only a couple of mouthfuls at a time since they are small, and the bun is nice and soft and steamed warm.

Now they have many other alternatives, even a small pronto pup. They were my grandmother's favorite little burgers - I used to go by and pick some up for her and take them by her house as she got older. She always had a big smile when I brought them to her with some fries and a shake.

For a look at these little burgers, check out this website. I just saw where they will be coming to San Antonio, TX soon, and have been in business since 1932 - wow, 20 years before I was born! Goodness are they old like me!!!!!

Nikki- I have been drinking soy milk in my coffee but I actually like the rice milk better. And if he wasn't allergic I'd be digging into regular milk as well!

Lance- Thanks- Some days it feels like a long time and other days it feels really short!

Kathleen- It was truly love at first sight- at least for me :) and yes I'm glad I went!

Lisa- Let me know what happens. Allergy is such a growing field intriguing and yet frustrating at the same time. It just depends on which side you are on!

Marn- *sob* *sob* I didn't realize that and now have to make that decision whether to not give those to him! :(

Moon Mom- Thanks! I'll let him know!

Kcinnova- It was fun getting it all ready and he was really surprised!

Kathleen- Thanks for the tip- is Krystals a Southern chain? I've never heard of them.

Evelyn- It was!

FYI - For those highly allergic to peanut butter (as my godchild is), be sure and note the message at Krystal's now about the peanut butter warning. They had shakes with peanut butter in them, and now they are warning those with allergies to beware because of the possibility of cross-contamination within their equipment.
