Blueberry or Cherry

Posted by Dr. Cason on Monday, October 6th, 2008

Slowly life is getting a little better.

Smiling boy is pinking up.

The house is getting cleaned and the papers filed.

I’ve created a schedule for myself and actually put in …*gasp*… running.

Last night I was talking to smiling boy about getting some soy yogurt,

“Do you want Cherry or Blueberry?”

“Blueberry!”

“Blueberry or Cherry?”

“Cherry!”

Hmmm I tried again

“Blueberry or Cherry?”

“Cherry!”

“Ok what about Cherry or Blueberry?”

“Blueberry!”

I laughed so hard. He was so cute!  “Look honey,” I said to my husband “He always picks the second one. The one he remembers. ” And we did it all over again just to show him.

“Do you want Cherry or Blueberry?”

“Blueberry!”

“Blueberry or Cherry?”

“Cherry!”

“Cherry or Blueberry?”

“Blueberry!”

“Blueberry or Cherry?”

“Cherry!”

Kids. I love them. :)

I love doing that to my kids! It is a great way to steer them to the choice that you would prefer.

Glad things are looking up! I’m almost ready to add bike riding to my list, but it will have to be after a certain small person’s upcoming surgeries and recovery, I think.

Oh Blueberry Jakey, definitely blueberry! I love that flavor myself. They are so adorable.

Be sure and check out two new stories on my blog. One is about the new baby giraffe at our Memphis Zoo. The other is a doggie who found his way home (some 45 miles). Such a sweet story with a happy ending. Sheila, please be sure the children see our baby giraffe. He is adorable!

Awesome- Ha Ha! I steer them that way too. Also I say- Are you feeling okay? Instead of Are you feeling sick? I tend to get a more truthful answer.

Kyla- Oh good luck with all that! Also I need to look some things up regarding the question you just asked me.

Kathleen- Oh they would love to see that!

Chris- Yes it certainly was able to be replicated!

Kristen- Fish (as long as it’s salmon) then go for the chicken. :)

Sheila - Be sure and tour the Memphis Zoo site from this link and let the kids see all the cams in place. There are cams all over our zoo. They can see the polar bears, the panda bears, etc.

Maybe some day you and your family will make it through Memphis and I can show you our beautiful zoo. I have a special passion about the zoo. I would cry every time I visited the zoo as a child because of the cats - they were in a “cathouse,” behind bars, on concrete, and would pace back and forth roaring (I said they were crying too).

Our zoo had an agreement with the City to change our zoo to more of a reserve for the animals with natural habitats. The City agreed to match what the zoo raised, then they backed down when the time came. I was so upset I went on a personal media blitz contacting numerous people through one of our PR ladies who had worked for a TV news channel before. After all the negative publicity against the City, they backed down and provided the funds. So our new zoo is a dream come true for me. I now enjoy seeing the cats in these wide open spaces and no longer cry - I smile now.
