Finally the Tooth is Out!

I got a call last night just as I was finishing my clinic-
“Mommy! Guess what! I pulled my tooth out and it didn’t even hurt!”
Don’t you think it changes her whole little face.
BTW I love the curly whirlies around her face. She normally declares war on them and slicks her hair back or wears a headband. But today she didn’t even notice and out they escaped!
Kyla of The Journey had the best story. I never even thought about that some kids would prefer their tooth over money!
I don’t remember any of my own tooth stories, but I have a good one about BubTar! He was so excited the night he lost his first tooth, even after he was tucked into bed I kept hearing squeals of delight coming from his bedroom. I actually have it on video in this post. However, the next day he had serious seller’s remorse, he sobbed and sobbed that his tooth was gone…it went on for weeks! He was very sad about it. He’s never given another tooth to the Tooth Fairy, the money just wasn’t worth the sadness!
Well, Santa Claus pulled some strings this past Christmas and talked the Tooth Fairy into returning that first tooth to him. He was really thrilled by it. It was my favorite part of Christmas! Here is a link to the post containing Santa’s accompanying letter.

Carrieon 19 Oct 2008 at 4:08 pm 6She is braver than I . . . I always had my dad tie a string around mine and attach it to a door knob – you can guess what comes next, eeeeeew!
Congrats to your daughter, that is a mighty important milestone!

Pumpkin smiles are THE BEST! Take lots of pictures.
