I’m same as Suzanne. I’ve always struggled with what to call them. My husband and both daughters are blue, but the 3 year old looks less blue – she may be heading toward more like mine.

As far as the handedness, I did a paper on this in college. Lefties are 10% of the general population, but 20% of the populations at both ends of the IQ spectrum. When both parents are lefties, there is a higher chance of their child being left-handed, but still only 40%.

Mine are brown. A lovely brown, but brown. My Dad has bright beautiful blue eyes and my Mom has brown. My sister and her husband both have brown eyes and their first child was born with blue. The same bright beautiful blue eyes as my Dad’s (her grandfather) — So two browns can make a blue! It’s all in the genetics.

Blue. Mine are blue. All of the kids have blue eyes. David’s are blue too.

What about hair colouring? I find that interesting too.

I;m with Dawn- mine are hazel. My husbands are dark brown, my daughters are blue and my sons are hazel.

My son also has a birthmark in his eye- never seen this before. I forget what the opthamalogist calls it, something to do with loss of pigment.

He thinks he is very cool- which is great!

Something else I find fascinating is handedness. My husband and I are both lefthanded. We were sure our kids would be too. My son is righthanded and my daughter is still a question – mixes it up with left and right. Seems mostly right. Weird to me.

Mine are a strange combo of brown and green, with dark blue around the edges, but I’m not sure they qualify as hazel. My dad’s are blue and my mom’s are similar to mine. Can’t figure it out!

My eyes are very dark brown. Here in Panama someone found a way to change people’s eye color (he was studying albinos, there’s an Indian tribe here –the Kuna–that has a very high incidence of albinos, and he found how to change their eye color).

I have steel-blue eyes…
….as do 5 of our six children.
The other one got his dad’s hazel eyes (which I LOVE!)…they change from blue to green, depending on what color he is wearing.
