My Photos and Thoughts

Old Movie Theatre

Cabe at The Daily Focal Point challenged us with

    ARCHITECTURE IN BLACK AND WHITE

    He said:

Take a photo of any structure that catches your eye in black and white. It can be close up or pulled back. Take one of the city you’re living in, or your office, your house, your neighbor’s house, heck even your dog’s house… I don’t care! Anything that showcases architecture in black and white.

So here is my entry. My friend Ericka mentioned at our last book club that way back behind a well known building was this dilapidated building. You can see the Marquis reads some pretty old movies. Well not really that old. It would have been cooler to read Casablanca and then have it all framed with those palm trees, but oh well- it’s old enough! :)

Wow, you guys have some block buster hits over there. I’m sorry, but not sure I’d be eating any popcorn out of that one.

    Good pic.

Sheila – I may be going crazy, but did I not see a new movie coming out called “National Treasure.” Looks like this may be a remake from your old movies! It sounded interesting on the TV, and I was thinking I wanted to see it. Very nice picture. I love black and white.

Neat building. I may have to get my little cheapy camera out and go searching for a building. I think I have one or two already in mind. I really like Cabe’s site – very interesting.

Hey, if they do, you should blow up your photo very large and mat and frame it. Sign it, of course. Present to them for the new theatre. You could start your own little art show there with your photo. They might even want to display some of your other photographs too. Your own private showing my dear!

I love B&W photography. I think it suits the mood of this building nicely. Nice shot.

Thanks for visiting my blog and glad you liked the photo of the sword hilt. You’re welcome back any time :)

I like this shot, especially how the sign is weathered out… Good one!
