Photo Contest at Greeblemonkey- Grateful
Posted by Dr. Cason on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008
As you can see tell I have been really reaching into the photography world and just putting my stuff out there. I’ve been having so much fun that I wanted to start to join some of the blogland’s photo contests! This is from a blog I lurk at from time to time. Well this I’m not lurking. I’m playing.
November’s theme is Grateful. Here’s my entry:
Oh and I live on Guam but have a US FPO address. I hope this qualifies me!
I am grateful for….”The Simple Things” -Like a blue chair sitting amongst fishing gear. It reminds me that you can find some comfort and beauty in anything.
We’d probably all say we’re grateful for our family and our health. But here’s some not so radically important things I’m grateful for anyway.
- Oreo cookies
- Hot coffee
- Candles
- My radio
- Elmo
- Band aids
- Geckos
- Inchworms
- Tote bags
- Ross
- Pasta noodles
What are some not so radically important things that you are grateful for?

Kathleenon 19 Nov 2008 at 2:22 pm 2My soft bed I crawl into every night exhausted from work, and the warmth of my home on these very cold nights in Memphis, TN. Oh, and I must not forget my “Three Dog Night” friends — Tinkerbell, Onnie, and Sophie — which help keep Mommy warm also. I am even more grateful during these times when so many are losing their homes to foreclosures.

Brianon 19 Nov 2008 at 3:23 pm 4Soft train whistles at night, the smell of rain, the sound of Italian shoes on a marble floor… and that little tinge of excitement you get when you see that someone new has visited your blog.
Thanks for adding me to the “list”… I’ve done the same, and look forward to hearing more from Guam, where it sounds like its warm… Current temp in Minneapolis is 9 degrees!!!

Much like Kathleen, I’m grateful for my soft warm bed. Every night, as I crawl under the covers and turn off the lights, I say a silent “thank you.”
Housecaton 20 Nov 2008 at 8:12 am 7Do they have Ross in Guam?
I’ll have to think about my grateful list, but I love Ross as well.

Barbara Swaffordon 20 Nov 2008 at 3:17 pm 8Hi Dr. Cason – Haha. I’m laughing at your Ross entry. I LOVE Ross.
Your entry is beautiful. I like the way you see beauty in that which most people would ignore. It’s no wonder your entry was chosen.
My grateful list is never ending and each day I add to it.
